At Widdershins, we make our products by hand, mixing olive, coconut and hemp oils with other natural ingredients.
Our soap and shampoo have a rich lather that will leave your skin feeling soft and smooth. Natural and luxurious.
Our Body Butter is hand-made with natural oils and butters. Use it all over for a lovely pampered feeling. It is wonderful for rough, dry, cracked skin, as well as conditions like eczema and psoriasis.
To create our distinctive colours and scents, we only use all-natural essential oils, and herbs and spices like orange zest, cinnamon, calendula flowers, rose hips, local and wild-crafted herbs.
We offer scents to relax, invigorate, or just make you feel good.

Widdershins Inspirations is a small family business operated in the heart of the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia. I live simply and this is reflected in my products—simple, natural and healthful.
I market my line of soap and skin care products at farmers' markets throughout Annapolis County and various stores here in the Annapolis Valley. As demand for these amazing products has grown I am seeking ways to continue to supply our customers. I welcome feedback - if you know of someone who would love to offer my products, please let me know...
Wyllow has begun writing books for children and their caregivers. The first one is a series of meditations suitable for everyone - even children as young as three. Watch for the next creative writing project.
I hand make all of my soap and body care products in my kitchen. I enjoy experimenting and I have created my own recipes and formulas. I love playing with combining scents and have a lovely, diverse group of friends and acquaintances who test each product before I put it out for sale... If it doesn't pass the test, it's back to the soap pot for me.
With chemical sensitivities and reactions to the products available in stores, I strive to provide a list of ingredients in both English and French, that you can pronounce, on each product. I have worked with several people who suffer with different allergies and sensitivities, many of whom I have been able to help by providing or creating products that they are able to use without adverse side effects.
Having experienced dry, cracking skin on my hands that bleeds in winter, I knew that I needed to develop a lotion. After watching the $30 lotion (the only one I was not reacting to, but still with dry, cracked patches) sink to the bottom of the dishwater, again, I knew that I needed to develop my own. By using beeswax, I was able to create, a lotion bar which protects skin from water damage and helps keep the lotion ON the skin. Lotion bars are solid at room temperature and melt with body heat the oils that are combined with the beeswax absorb quickly into the skin leaving a soft feeling without a greasiness. My hands no longer crack and bleed in the winter!
With the popularity of body butters I experimented some more. I created a lovely combination of oils and butters which has become quite popular. With cocoa butter and coconut oil as a base, there is no need for any essential oils to scent, as it has a wonderful cocoa aroma.
As I traveled the difficult path of cancer diagnosis, I found a new need for a hand sanitizer that I did not react adversely to so I developed one that is safe for me and those with chemical sensitivities. It contains aloe vera as well as lavender and tea tree oil - soft and soothing on the hands with a kick that keeps those germs AWAY. I was able to complete the cancer treatments and keep flus and cold away!
I have three lovely children who help run this micro-business. My two eldest have helped make simpler recipes, like lotion bars, lip balms and bath bombs and with selling at local markets - a small break now and again keeps me sane... The youngest has been to market several times - but watch out, he is one pushy salesman! All three love to try new products and have their own lip balms (and ask for spa kits to be made up for their friends birthdays); they especially love having bath bomb volcanoes in the bathtub!
